Politics are still on the mind. Waiting to see how that ceasefire shakes out. I think by tomorrow we will know if the hostages are released or not, which will determine the course of things. I have no power over any of it or any other political rumination on my mind and it would do me well to acknowledge that every time.

Still very tired. Slowly regaining sleep but I was not well for a while. It's about 7 PM. I will try to go to bed early tonight.

Yesterday I managed to get out, went to a crafts thing at the bookstore. Painting pumpkins. I wanted a rather opaque coat of sky blue so it ended up taking the entire time to do that. Had I done a light coat it would have looked uneven. I did not follow directions well. Near the end I did manage to get one proof of concept butterfly painted on the bottom, which was my goal for the whole thing. There is something to be said for marginal successes.

After that we went out to that bar I spent my birthday at, for other Katie's birthday. Guess her 20s are over, poor thing. We played darts, which I had never done before. That was enjoyable. I also ordered carne asada fries by mistake and they were terrible. But I had to eat them, such are my morals.

Today was a lot less eventful. I listened to two long podcasts and have a third on right now. Also took a nap. Really hoping that doesn't interfere with my ability to sleep. I'm typing here again, that's good. Not much more on my mind though, beyond all the things I'm avoiding. Primarily cleanup. Gotta get on that.
