ATA 78 - EXHAUST
- Operate the hand pump to open the half door to 35 degrees position/Operate the hand pump to open the half door to 45 degrees.
- 4 door position switches for the stow position, 2 double switches for the deploy
position hoses.
- In deployment, an amber REV indication will come in view at the middle of the N1 dial when at least one reverser door is un-stowed or unlocked (stroke > 1%). If this occurs in flight, REV will flash first for 9 sec, then it will remain steady.
- T/R valves:
- Deployment = DIRECTION VALVE
- Stowage = PRESSURIZING VALVE
- The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) provides the sequence and functions of unlocking, deploying, stowing and locking of the pivoting door latches and actuators, it is located on the ENG R/H side at 10 o’clock.
- T/R system can be isolated inserting a pin into HCU (maintenance purposes).
- As soon as one blocker door is at more than one percent of angular travel, its stow switch changes over and sends a “1 or 2 or 3 un-stowed doors” signal to the ECU. In the cockpit an amber REV indication is displayed in the middle of the N1 dial.
- T/R doors move independently and are not synchronized. T/R 1 and T/R 2 systems are not linked.
- T/Rs can be opened on ground only during testing (MCDU → CFDS) or during engine runs.
- We need at least 1 EIU and 1 SEC to operate T/R system.
- The SOV is electrically actuated from an independent signal from the SEC, bypassing the FADEC command circuit.
- Trust Reverser hyd system:
- T/R ENG 1 → GREEN HYD SYS
- T/R ENG 2 → YELLOW HYD SYS
