ATA 76 - ENGINE CONTROLS
- The relationship between the throttle lever angle and throttle resolver angle (TRA) is linear and: 1 deg. TLA = 1.9 TRA.
- Thrust lever excursion:
- IDLE TO MAX CLIMB = 25°
- IDLE TO MCT /FLEX = 35°
- IDLE to TO/GA = 45°
- Full T/R to TO/GA = 65°
- Each Thrust Lever has 2 resolvers, one linked to ECU CH.A and the other to ECU CH.B, resolvers convert linear movement of the thrust levers from analog to digital format in order to feed the FADECs.
- An adjustment screw is provided at the lower part of each mechanical box to adjust the artificial feel.
- In automatic control mode the FMGC (Flight Management and Guidance Computer) computes the required N1 thrust and transmits it to the FADEC via the Flight Control Unit (FCU).
- Notice that in case of an alpha floor detection the auto thrust function engages and becomes active automatically.
- Manual control of Thrust lever are moving.
- Auto thrust levers stay on the gate, if levers are between the gates thrust
correspond with upper gate.
- At 106,3 % of N2: Overspeed
- Cockpit manual control on Engine Master Switches have always priority over ECU commands.
- ENG MASTER SWITCH “ON”:
- Starts the engine in automatic mode
- Selects Fuel and Ignition ON during manual start
- Opens LP Fuel Valve and de-energize HP Fuel Shut-off valve (so it can open)
- Fuel HP Shut-off Valve closes when energized.
- ENG MASTER SWITCH “OFF”:
- HP Fuel Valve closes (Valve is energized)
- LP Fuel Valve closes
- ECU resets
