Current setup

My computer is a late 2012 Mac Mini with an Intel® Core™ i7-3615QM × 8 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB HD. Currently running Arch. The desktop is Gnome.

I also run other OSs like MacOS, Debian, Raspbian and Plan9. I used Fedora for some time but switched to Arch and have not looked back. I like a *real* Linux distro. Not a based on this or that.

Before Fedora my OS was Nixos. I liked the speed it had but found doing anything out of the ordinary, like compiling a program, looking for and installing packages that were not included to be a chore and went for the present ease of use.

In my search for a "perfect" OS I have used DOS, OS/2, Windoze, all the BSDs, many, many Linux distros (started with Yggdrasil way back when you had to compile X11, etc.). Guess there is no perfect OS! But I never stop searching and trying out variants and versions either in a VM or installing the most interesting ones on hardware.
