What is listed here are games I have saved over the years and modified to allow them to compile on newer systems. I have compiled and played these under Slackware 15.0, NetBSD and OpenBSD.

I do not "own" these nor will I maintain them. I just hacked them to get the compile to succeed. Feel free to do what you will with these. Inside the tarball is the License they are under. I believe these are all under somekind of Open License.

If you want to verify the download of these items you will need to get this GnuPG key.

jrogue

A clone of game rogue(6) that was supplied with Coherent OS. It is a bit easier to play than standard rogue(6). With that said, I only won jrogue game once.

trek-73

This game came on CohWare Vol 2 from Coherent OS. I updated it to compile on modern UN*X Systems. It came without a License File, but I can only assume it is under some for of open license.

xgammon

Backgammon for X11, this works great for me. For this you will need to use xmkmf(1) then make. Please note, you will need to add this entry to your ~/.Xdefault for it to work:

I love this game, it use to be in all the *BSD repositories but it disappeared years ago. Luckily I found the source and updated it to compile with newer compilers. This the requires xforms package.
