Made me laugh. I used to read Penny Arcade a lot, years ago. It's nice to be back reading it regularly again, even though I don't really play any video games anymore.
John Harper's game Agon has come up on my radar a few times recently. It seems worth learning more about. He does seem to be a brilliant designer. The only game of his I've played is Lasers and Feelings but I've read several others.
A nice post about A.I. which I related to. I work in tech and A.I. is getting discussed for various things and I am very skeptical about it. I think rightly so, but this quote from Douglas Adams, shared in the post, is worth keeping in mind:
Anything that is in the world when you're born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works. Anything that's invented between when you're fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.
A nice GM tool from Jason Cordova, creator of The Between (among other cool things).
Some good musings on Trek.
I'm enjoying gathering together these weekly links posts. Browsing the web can be a very transient thing, so it's nice to reflect back on recent stuff to see what made an impression.
