Branded - alfred's Gemini capsule

I'm a firm believer that for *amateur* guitarists, the brand of guitar doesn't matter much (nor solid-top vs. laminate), so long as it's reasonably well constructed and set up.

If an amateur doesn't sound good, it is very likely not the guitar that is holding the player back. It's much more likely to be practice time and habits, instructional quality, and, if recorded, the quality of the microphone / recorder. In my experience, the Yamaha and Cordoba brands offer good value.

Will a beginner practice more if the guitar is expensive? I doubt it. Eagerness tends to crowd out fussiness.
