This is an exciting announcement! I’ve been keeping an eye on ladybird and I’m very glad to hear they’re setting up as a non profit.

Browser diversity is a very important topic, and pretty much the reason I stick with Firefox despite Mozilla’s sketchy direction. It’s good that there’s a viable alternative taking place and I hope it spurs more competition. (Looking at servo)
