Occidental — an international auxiliary language

Occidental, also known as »Interlingue«, can be understood as the quintessence of the European languages. It aims to facilitate international communication through a natural form of words that are easily recognizable with a regulated grammar that can be learned within a short time. In fact, no other auxiliary language achieved this blend between naturalness and regularity like Occidental.

Thanks to its form it stands between the national languages so that its distance to them is smaller than that between national languages themselves — which makes translations much easier.

Because Occidental was elaborated with an awareness for the importance of the psychological aspects of a language and therefore all artificiality was carefully avoided, it succeeded in becoming a language that preserves the inherent spirit of the European peoples that is truly worthy of them.
