This reminds me of 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘋𝘢𝘺 by Don Hertzfeldt. Later in the film, the main character begins "seeing" life for the first time; noticing things like the pattern with which water gets absorbed into paper towels. It sounds like you have a wonderful gift.

Thank you for turning me on Don Hertzfeldt. I have not seen It's Such A Beautiful Day yet but I watched Everything Will Be Okay after reading this comment and was deeply moved by it. I will seek that film out and watch it.
Yes, I have always had a pretty intense visual fixation on the world and psychedelics only increased this and deepened its emotional weight to me. If you go back to my writing "Beneath the Cottonwood" on here, I wrote that before I had ever ingested LSD. I appreciate your comment.
