The last time I was in a crowded elevator and someone broke wind, everyone started looking around at each other looking for the culprit. I think we were all secretly wondering if everyone else in the elevator thought it was us, and so nobody said anything. I like to imagine the flatulent menace was one of the people expressively conveying their disgust to disguise their truly devious act.
