I love growing from my own scraps. Actually planting the food as soon as you get it in the house is a good way of preserving it longer :)

I sometimes eat green onions raw with tomato ketchup just to anger god.

I like the idea! But even if you make them grow a third time, eventually you will have to put them in soil. Else the nutritional value of your onions will decrease. Keep it up!
