Op amp studies
I'm continuing my studies in Operational Amplifiers: Theory and Practice by Roberg and Lundberg, and I made it through the first chapter. I've got some good notes on open loop gain and closed loop gain; inverting and non-inverting configurations and gain; unity gain buffers; integrators; and a few other things like diode equations.
So far, I am able to reproduce the various things I've learned about op amp gain on my analog computer. However, I tried to set up a log circuit with an open amplifier and a diode, but it is not working. I'll have to look into that some more.
The first chapter provided a number transfer functions, and that is something I haven't really studied into yet, but I tried to grasp what I could from a brief study of Laplace transforms and transfer functions on the Internet. My introductory DE book covers those subjects, I believe, but not until near the end of the book.
THAT
Anabrid does not yet have their next batch of THAT computers ready yet for shipment. But I confirmed that they have now ordered the parts required, and they intend to have the units assembled by the end of August.
