Map projections

Sandra wrote about her dream map projection:

I like the idea and certainly would like to see what she can come up with ;).

Reading about map projections again immediately reminded me of the mandatory XKCD and another interesting website that I stumbled upon about a decade back.

After browsing John Savard's writings on map projections for the better part of an hour, I got to the conclusion (again) that I don't have a favourite map projection after all and thus prefer a globe... 🤷
