12/03/25 - Miracle Whip, American Muscle, Buio Omega at CBGB

decided to get out to celebrate my recent accomplishments in mixing the piracy album. got to see the whip play, which i hadn't been able to do in a while. they were crispy as hell, with a ton of great riffs to boot. i love seeing Colin playing guitar; i rarely get to anymore and it always brings me back to when we first met and started playing music together.

I didn't pay too close of attention to the touring acts, i was mostly talking to people about the piracy album and their own lives. the bands generally sounded great and it seemed like people were very excited to see them. cbs oozed great energy the whole night. heard good tidings from other people wrapping up big music projects, which contributed to my general elation. it's nice to feel euphoric about important things from time to time. left before trivia, which was the right thing to do.

there were also people carrying insanely intricate video recording gear, with one of them even sporting a metal crane that came out their back and was attached to some sort of weird belt harness thing. it was confusing but also very funny.
