Our ferret Mocha contracted a virus after we brought another ferret home. Unfortunately, the nearest emergency veterinarian that will take ferrets is over 100 miles away. She didn't enjoy being in a small cage for the ride, so we took her out for a quick moment to see the view.

A "classic" is something that has withstood the test of time and judged to be exemplary or outstanding. By definition, something that is brand new or cutting edge cannot be a classic. I was thus a little confused when I saw the phrase "Tried our latest classics?" printed on the side of a KFC box this week.

My wife and I visited a Thai restaurant this week. When we received fortune cookies at the end, we opened them up, only to discover that we had been given the exact same fortune. Interestingly, both fortunes recommended we focus on our loved ones. It was quite a special experience.

Kansas City has a ramen shop called KC Craft Ramen. We only eat it for special occasions, as it's quite a drive to get there. This week they hosted a Japanese ramen maker for a special ticketed event.
