I'm an introverted white guy living in the desert southwest of the United States. I'm a father of two young girls, a dabbler in too many hobbies, and a high school geometry teacher. Some day I want to build a small adobe house by hand with my wife.

I'm here because I like this vision of the what the web could be. I'd rather stumble onto interesting stuff that real people have curated than be fed content by a manipulative algorithm. I'd rather hear from passionate people shouting into the void than from influencers cultivating their audience. And I'd prefer not to be monetized, tracked, and subjected to operant conditioning while looking for little bits of human connection online.
