How to stream from hashtv over gemini

Basically you need a client that can pull the data from a gemini page and spit it out on stdout. Then you need either mplayer, mpv, vlc, or some other media player that can read from standard-input.

(you can also use a similar wget or curl-like tool like gemget)

Here are some command lines for getting a video stream playing on your computer from hashtv over the gemini protocol.

(for gemget, use "gemget -o -" in place of "pxc" before every '|' pipe)
# with mplayer
pxc hashnix.club/cgi/hashtv.cgi | mplayer -nocache - &
-or- pxc hashnix.club/cgi/hashtv.cgi | mplayer - &

# with mpv
pxc hashnix.club/cgi/hashtv.cgi | mpv --cache=no - &
-or- pxc hashnix.club/cgi/hashtv.cgi | mpv - &

# with vlc
