Leaving Gemini/smolweb

It has been a great ride so far, but I think it is time for me to leave, at least for the time being.

I have loved my time with Gemini, but I believe it is time to return to the real world.

I might be back in a day or I might never come back, only time will tell.

Why am I leaving?

I feel Gemini protects/insulates me from the real world, I can go entire days without even going on the www.

While that should be a good thing, the www isn't going away anytime soon and it is still where life happens.

So I have to go back, back to "civilisation", back to learning to "live" again.

It's not on a sad note I leave, it's with an attitude of "we can be better".

I want to pursue the Web1.0, Web1.1 or whatever other name it has, we can take the web back.

I want to see the simplified web brought back, the useful web, the web of change and usability.

I can't do that with Gemini, as that is just hiding from the problem.

I would like to say thank you, to all you wonderful people who make this community what it is.

It has truly been a joy to be a part of and I wish everyone the best.

If you stay here and withdraw from the web, I hope you enjoy it. I am not ready to write it off just yet.
