I dunno when the current GitHub design went into affect (I tend to avoid Microsoft honeypots when I can), but gosh golly geee is it fucking awful. How can a directory of textfiles be this bloated?? It has to have been a deliberate design decision to make the thing completely useless. All the crap they got on there, badges and other assorted UI icons and fucking copilot horseshit and all this fluffy bullshit...they are akin to so many barnacles distorting the hydrodynamic profile of my dingy boat. And the motor, she does not have the chooch to compensate for the loss in efficiency.

I discovered GotHub as an alternative frontent and boy howdy I am a big fan of all these 3rd party frontends for these tumescent corpses that pass as websites these days. A simple redirect plugin and it's like github doesn't even exist for me. I can read the markdown files on a repo again (seriously, it's almost impressive how much they've fucked what should be a (relatively) simple operation. Who tf needs all these UI accoutrements look at some text???)
