2025.03.04 Alberta and a rogue typo
After reading the entry on Alberta, I now want to go to Alberta. I think this says more about me than it does about the World Book at this point, though. It's spring, I'm restless, and I want to travel!
Specifically, I want to see the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. It's supposed to have one of the largest and coolest paleontology collections in the world. Or at least on the North American continent.
I vaguely remember reading, years ago, that there's a lot of accessible Cambrian explosion fossils somewhere in Canada. I'm guessing this is where. Would also explain all the oil fields, I guess.
Also, I found a typo! I think it's the first one so far; it's the first one I've noticed, anyway. The entry on "Alcibiades" is missing an "l" in one instance of his name. Poor Acibiades.
"Alexander the Great" failed, as all Alexander the Great media ever has, to make me care about Alexander the Great. Instead I got excited about "Alexander, Kwame," which is on the same page. Of course I did. I run a high school library! (I must ask: which Alexander is really the great one here? I don't see "the Great" Alexander writing Solo.)
Housekeeping: I am working on producing an Atom feed for this page. Will update.
