Both mainstream US political parties (admittedly, the GOP is currently doing the lion's share of this for now) are blowing smoke up the collective asses of the American public. The GOP is actively ignoring the fact that the Elon Musk, with the blessing of the Trump administration, is currently cutting the federal government, without considering the negative effects of how these sharp cuts will pan out. The Democrats are doing a lot of hand wringing and creating lots of disappointed sounding soundbites, without actually DOING anything.

There are no superheroes that are going to save us, folks. We need to take the reins and do something different. The government is not going to be there for you; now or in the forseeable future.
