Re: PLEASE STOP MAKING NEWS AGGREGATORS!!!!
Jeff's headline says it all.
I presume it's a plea for less autogenerated content on Antenna and elsewhere.
I am slightly at fault: I have a thing called "Heterodox Technology" that automatically posts up to 5 URLs from a subreddit I curate, to Gemini, and announces it on Antenna, no more than once a week. These are *hand*-curated, though.
Those who want to manage their Antenna feeds can do so via the Gemini interface that Antenna affords. There *is* a slight difficulty doing that, e.g., where Someone keeps changing the URLs they use, and engages in other sorts of "ban evasion". It's also hard if you need unusual pattern matching.
To that end, I made a thing called 'filter-antenna' that some people might find useful - e.g., if you've made a list of the "spammy" accounts on Antenna and want to share it with friends.
I am not going to sharing my actual filter, as that would be a bit rude :)
