Finland uses more than one billion euros per year for various Microsoft licenses only
Yesterday in IRC Sompi (Sami Tikkanen) told me that "it's been confirmed, Finland uses more than one billion euros per year for various Microsoft licenses only" (see "Microsoft" above).
I asked Sompi for the source of that image a few times. He hasn't gotten back to me yet.
Regardless, what Microsoft costs to Finland it also costs to many other nations.
And that ought to change. Urgently.
Also, how many kickbacks (bribes) are involved in this procurement process?
"That 1 billion Euro is only the start of those costs," a friend told me, as "the presence of Microsoft products and services reduces productivity greatly and presents a lot of lost opportunity."
"Just think what the Finnish economy could do without wasting 1.2 billion on just the licensing. Also, the removal of Microsoft would vastly increase productivity and greatly reduce malware and basically eliminate ransomware."
If I learn the source of the original URL for that infographic, I shall update this post. █
