Black building testing explained

Earlier this week we had network maintenance; this was completed last night or about 5 hours ago. Some people may have noticed slight or temporary issues reaching the site. That ought not happen anymore.

Next week, however, there's a "black building test". This hopefully won't impact anything (i.e. the test going well). "As part of our preventative maintenance program," explains the host, "we will be conducting our annual black building test. This will include a controlled isolation of mains power and subsequent transition to generator power. Once tests are completed we will transition back to mains power and full resilience will be restored We do not expect this to be customer affecting however it should be considered an at-risk period."

This will happen next Tuesday. █
