In Russia, Microsoft is Already a Dying Breed Online
Posted by Roy Schestowitz on Dec 15, 2025
In Russia, almost nobody uses Bing and among Windows users 66.7% still use Vista 10 (yes, Vista 11 isn't even a third!).
Maybe that should not surprise anybody. Even in the US, the home of Microsoft, Vista 11 is less than a third right now (Windows is at 45.9%, Vista 11 at a mere 15%).
There seems to be a large wave of Microsoft layoffs set to be announced in a number of weeks, just like every January (in recent years).
A lot of Europe also dumps Microsoft. Europe is a big revenue source of Microsoft.
A lot of Microsoft "Revenue" is just Microsoft buying from Microsoft. Circular financing is a form of accounting fraud, but Microsoft sponsored a con man for president, so don't expect laws meant to tackle corruption to actually be enforced. █
