To dispel any false notion that IBM has had layoffs mostly in America (Canada, US, Mexico and Brazil were mentioned here a lot lately), consider the above from London, England.

Here in Europe, where the EPO basically breaks laws and grants many patents (monopolies) to IBM, there are IBM layoffs. We heard the same about Japan and we see a lot in India [1, 2].

At IBM, nobody is safe. Not 'cheaper' East Europeans, not Indians... nothing, nada, zilch.

IBM is a collapsing, dying old brand. Not much more.

Forget what you "knew" or "thought" about IBM. That was like an entirely different company (back when it actually mattered). █
