Many comments there bemoan what we wrote about before, even as recently as yesterday [1, 2].

Slopfarms say that GAFAM companies invest obscene (but fictional) sums of money in India, causing uproar and backlash against Indians, including some CEOs.

Some of these slopfarms are Indian and do not fact-check, they just relay baseless, false press releases sent their way or picked up online by LLMs. That's why we keep seeing totally phony and misleading figures about Microsoft layoffs.

From what we can gather, IBM is so poor and so desperate to fake "growth" that it lays off people in India while hiring new people, with no prior experience at IBM, at a cost of "1.3+ Million Dollars Per Employee".

"1.3+ Million Dollars Per Employee"

In a healthy company, the CEO and CFO would get sacked on the spot for doing so. But IBM is not a healthy company, it's just a sick cow being milked to death. █
