Jump-starting the Free Software movement (FSM). A crowdfunding campaign coming soon.

AT THE END of last year we saw Carmen (or Carmen Maris, we might assume) proposing "a new project for teenagers in free software". The original message is dated "Sat, 30 Nov 2024", but the mailing list is moderated and it can take up to a week for moderation to "take effect" (i.e. for messages to be approved and sent out). Some days ago Carmen responded to a message by Paul Sutton (belatedly appeared on-list, not off-list): (emphasis added by us)

Hello everyone,

Yes, I'm still on it!

I'm hoping to launch a crowdfunding campaign on the 28th (next Tuesday),

provided my payment processor gets their side of things done quickly.

Right now I'm just putting the finishing touches on everything and finishing up

some little procedural details. There's not an awful amount left to do :)

Sorry if I've been a bit quiet, it's been a very busy time.

Hi all

Just wondered if there was an update to the mission libre ( I think that was
a suggested name) please.

Just asking so we can keep any momentum up. I think the last I heard was
that Carmen was working the business side of this, getting things set up.

Thanks
