OUR article about "IBM's Latest Fedora Divestment" has been read by about 2,000 people today and people inside IBM recognise there's barely a future in this company. It's just trying to squeeze what's left inside for the sake of executives and shareholders (bonuses and pumping up the stock, based on speculations and pure nonsense). Fedora doesn't seem to bring "money", so it has got to go... without formally saying so (they rebranded CentOS to pretend not to practically kill it).

The above update seems to informally confirm that IBM is entering taboo territories by firing people days before Christmas instead of waiting until January - as HR people tend to recommend. This year IBM has abstained from talking about the "silent" layoffs; it made those affected sign an NDA. It pays media that covers the matter regardless.
