Communicating Outside of Skinnerboxes and Social Control Media
[Meme] Social Control Media is NOT Free Speech

IN THE name of "free speech" (not!), Freenode under Mr. Lee split off or argued with the staff, resulting in the creation of Libera.Chat - a sort of an offshoot which argued a right-leaning Mr. Lee had overstepped his authority. Mr. Lee attempted to prevent this separation, but it was already too late. Freenode has since then stagnated rapidly and then steadily (over 5,000 users left, most of them perpetually inactive):

But what about Libera.Chat? Is it still thriving (at the expense of Freenode)? Not quite:

Notice the downward trend/curve in recent months.

Do users flock to OFTC? Not really.

Looks like OFTC periodically culls many users. Are those bots? █
