EARLIER THIS year we took note of GNU/Linux in Montenegro, as it had grown a lot and stayed high. See for instance:

GNU/Linux in Montenegro: From 1% to 6% Since the Pandemic Started
Microsoft Falls Below 20% in Montenegro - Plunging to All-Time Low
Montenegro: GNU/Linux "Proper" at Over 6%
↺ HTTP: GNU/Linux in Montenegro Up to 7% Market Share in Desktops/Laptops, Based on statCounter
Microsoft Windows Plunged to Levels So Low in Montenegro That Even iOS Users Apparently Outnumber Windows Users Now. We Must Still Tackle Microsoft's Crimes in Europe, Holding the Corrupt and Their Collaborators Fully Accountable.

Revisiting the topic, we now see that GNU/Linux has hit another all-time high (Windows isn't doing well and Vista 11 is down sharply). We don't really know why, but that's just what the data from statCounter suggests. █
