ONLY about 10% of Web-connected (or Net-connected, but measured over the Web) devices in Africa use Microsoft Windows. 10% means that only about 1 in 10 Web requests can be traced back to a Windows-encumbered PC. Of course Microsoft does not want shareholders to understand just how critically irrelevant (less than 10%) its operating system has become in some parts of the world.

Let's hope that from 10% Windows will go to 1% and then 0%.

Only hours ago there was another press report about Microsoft's mass layoffs in Africa. █
