"I did like that ACM ethic quote I read in one of your stories," a reader told us today, "I believe it was Daniel about Appelbaum and Debian."

ACM ethic quote

"Did you know that my ethics and engineering professor was the IEEE ethics committee lead while I was taking the class! ACM is very respectable as well."

As people noticed a very long time ago and as repeatedly noted here as far back as 6 years ago, it is about power of corporations, or masters; they want us to think that ethics means CoC and a CoC is the same as ethics, even if in practice "ethical conduct" is defined as whatever suits their interests. They censor everything else, then resort to public shaming and character assassination as they see fit. That is domination over society, which is almost the exact opposite of ethics. It is a form of dictatorship. █
