Most valuable company, says phony measure; thousands of layoffs later in the day

The media keeps insisting that Microsoft is "worth" something it clearly isn't (it is like 'cryptocurrency'); today's layoffs (there were prior clues) speak louder than Wall Street and there are canceled teams, projects etc. The company is effectively being cut.
