Google Getting Worse

IT IS getting worse.

For the second day in a row now, nearly half of the "search" results from Gulag Noise (Google News) aren't in English, even for English language searchers when the locality is set correctly. This is an issue we've repeatedly mentioned in recent weeks; it is a two-fold issue, as it involves the lack of online news and Google's poor effort to compensate for it (for "engagement") by lowering quality and relevance, adding things that really don't belong there. It's the same in YouTube, which is fast becoming just an aggressive ads platform. █
