01:25 DaemonFC; In this case, the car didn't know if the sensor was bad or if the thermostat was stuck open.

01:25 DaemonFC; But it was also possible that acting like it was stuck open could cause an overheat if it wasn't.

01:26 DaemonFC; So the fail-safe mode was to run the radiator fans constantly and set the light.

01:26 DaemonFC; It's worse to not cool the engine enough than to not let it come to full temperature.

01:27 DaemonFC; An overheat can do catastrophic damage in minutes. Not running at full operating temperature isn't ideal, but it won't kill the engine before you can get to the shop.

Illinois passed a law against possessing DEFCAD files, then it passed another law making 3d printed guns illegal even though they were already illegal since there is no way to register one in the FOID Card system since they already violated federal laws regarding mandatory metal components and manufacturer serial numbers.

23:27 DaemonFC; So after it did all this, the Governor continues complaining about all the "ghost guns" found in crime scenes.

23:28 DaemonFC; They're so easy to make, so cheap, that after a criminal kills someone with the stupid thing, it's just a liability so they toss it somewhere.

23:55 DaemonFC; I've got a partial bottle of 0w30 full synthetic FRAM in the trunk. Maybe 4 ounces in there. Time to just pour it in and leave the bottle hanging upside down to drip. I can drive the car another 1,000 miles or so and get another top off bottle then.

23:58 DaemonFC; The engine officially calls for 4.55 quarts, but then they actually take something closer to 4.8 a lot of the time before you're at the "full" mark on the dipstick.

23:59 DaemonFC; Despite the specification which has never changed from 4.55 quarts, some people get to full at 4.55, others don't get to full until 5.
