montane gecko wp1+ button mod - 2023-11-05

i've been using a montane gecko wp1+ for over a year. at first it was only for runs but now it has become a wearable handbag thing:-) i find it convenient to keep my stuff in the gecko rather than my pockets.

the velcro waistband lets go from time to time.

add a button and, of course, buttonhole:-) hopefully this will stop the belt from letting go completely and assist me in ensuring a good velco attachment.

despite the plan i managed to not get the buttonhole in the middle of the belt, but it will suffice:-) in my defence the belt material is elastic and a bit slippery smooth side down. both factors complicate accurate stitching; i'm sticking with this excuse:-)

good practice using my bernina 590qe button foot and 3A button hole foot.
