Palm Tungsten T3
----------------
o PalmOne distributed this device before having its virtual grafitti system
fully nailed down by Palmsource. As such, if you wish to use the enhanced
full screen display with Shadow Plan (and other 3rd party applications)
you will need to install the two .prc application files within the
T3 Enhancement .zip file included in the distribution. This file comes
from PalmOne itself, and is not part of Codejedi's software. We include
  it only for convenience.

(1) Installation - Handheld and Windows Desktop (using Setup*.exe)

Note: Our installer should operate on all versions of Windows (including
so far back as Windows 95); Windows NT and XP users may need to have
administrator permissions depending on the configuration of their
computer. We have tested Windows 98 and onwards.

Installing Shadow Plan with the Windows Setup Utility is very easy!

Unzip the downloaded distribution .zip file; Windows XP will include an
unzip utility, while other Windows versions will require you to download
a utility such as WinZip. Simply try double clicking on the distribution
file to open it up.

Once inside the .zip file, run the "Setup*.exe" installer utility, and
follow its directions. You will need to pick a directory to put Shadow Plan's
desktop files in, but you can leave the default if you don't know where
to put them. (Subsequent installations will default to the same location
you specify the first time.)

Important: If upgrading, be sure to close down an already running Shadow
Plan Desktop!

After the installation, you just perform a Hot Sync and Shadow Plan will
appear on your Palm OS device, the manual will be available in your Start
menu, and the Shadow Plan Desktop and Conduit will start backing up your
files and be available for your use.

(2) Installation - Handheld Only (manual install for Windows, Mac, Unix)

Installing Shadow Plan manually is fairly straight forward and should be
done just as you've installed any other palm application. Just follow these
simple steps are you're ready to save time!

 * Obtain the Shadow Plan distribution file (you've probably done this
already, since you're reading this manual)

 * Extract the distribution file (a .ZIP archive) into the directory you
wish to keep the files in. You don't need to keep the extracted files
after the installation, but you may wish to keep them so as to have the
Reference Guide and other manuals available to you in the future.

 * Install the Shadow.prc file into your Palm OS device. This is the
tricky part, since you can do it in many different ways depending on
your OS and on your setup. On a typical Windows OS with Palm Desktop
installed, you can simple double-click on the "Shadow.prc" file
in the Windows Explorer, and it will set it up for install automatically.
You may have to run "InstApp" or other "Installer"'s and give them
   "Shadow.prc" to install.

 * Thats it! All you need is "Shadow.prc" and you're ready to go!

(3) Upgrading Your Shadow Plan

Upgrading Shadow Plan is very easy! Simply download the latest version you
wish to install from http://www.codejedi.com and go through the normal
Installation procedure. None of your Shadow lists will be removed during
the install! By installing a newer Shadow Plan program, you will
automatically update everything that is needed to get to that
version.

NOTE: I do suggest keeping on top of major revisions; it is best
to go from the 1.3.x series to 1.4.0 and then to 1.5.0, for instance,
than to go from 1.3.x to 1.5.0 directly. This should work fine, as we
try and maintain forward compatability. However, once you get extreme
like 1.2.x to 1.5.0, its hard to know for sure if everything will work.
So its best to check the website every month or so and install new
versions as you can. Remember, updates are always free!

Historically, there has never been a problem doing a large upgrade, from
(say) 1.4 to 4.0 will work fine.
