When handling high voltage or when using "electrical air conditioner" (ionizer), it is often said, that one " can smell the ozone".

Ozone is odorless. The typical "electrical smell" originates from Nitrogen oxides - the same stuff, which originates from cars and other vehicles of that kind and pollutes the air.
