Windows 11 is awful

I am aware that I am preaching to the choir here, but whatever.

Until today, my laptop had both Windows 10 and Void Linux on it. Since Windows 10 is about to be EOL'd unless I use a Microsoft account to get another year of support, which I do not want to do, I decided to update my Windows installation to Windows 11.

Upon seeing the Start menu in Windows 11, um, yeah I already hate it. The Start menu is way too big, and instead of immediately showing a list of programs installed on the computer like in Windows 10 and earlier versions, it shows a list of pinned programs and recommendations. I hate features that try to be too smart because it just gets in the way, and that includes any feature that tries to predict what I want to do next and shows recommendations based on that. That is way I have auto-correct off on my phone, by the way. Having pinned items in the Start menu is also redundant because I can already pin items to the taskbar anyway. The full list of programs still exists, but now I have to click an additional button, which is rather tiny, to get to that list.

The Settings menu became even more of a labyrinth compared to Windows 10. The text is also rather small, especially on a 1366x768 screen. It makes looking through all the settings a chore.

Hopefully I do not have to use Windows 11 too much because it is much more intolerable compared to Windows 10, even though it does have some fancy GUI effects. I would rather use Linux as much as possible.
