Computer Collection: HP t610 plus Thin Client
About
This was my first thin client that I bought for the express purpose of using as a pfSense router. Unfortunately it didn't end well as the PSU I bought for it failed within the week, making it a brick. It refused to accept any other power supply I had around for HP machines, meaning it was a brick, I ended up binning it, as much as I didn't want to.
To this day (November 6th 2023) I haven't run pfSense or OPNsense as my router software again. I instead flashed OpenWRT to a Linksys MR8300.

Trivia
- It was the easiest of all three thin clients I've owned to get into, only needing a pull of a plastic release tab and lifting the metal inside piece out.
- Unlike most of my machines there is only a single photo that seems to have survived of it.
- It demands a specific amperage power supply, running at 19 volts 5-something amps. It will refuse to POST and beep angrily at you otherwise.
