• Start the record (creates a preliminary link file):

in-toto-record start -n {edit-files} -k {path/to/key_file} -m {.}

• Stop the record (expects a preliminary link file):

in-toto-record stop -n {edit-files} -k {path/to/key_file} -p {.}
