A quick update on my how to prevent AI consumption. Proof of Work will cause web pages to be too costly to scrape, I wish I had this idea but not me

Anyway, I also got a new retrogaming handheld recently. Just to play Doom on. I got a retropi5 and it was good fun on the telly, a fantastic emulation machine, but I never really did handheld gaming as a teen or adult and I never finished Doom 1 or 2. So ebay sold me a fabulous R36H - vertical format over horizontal gameboy - and I loaded Rocknix which provided gzdoom, dropped in some config and started blasting. And it is a hoot, I highly recommend

R36H is exactly the same as an R36S for install media. A high speed sd-card really helps, the boot times aren't fab. Getting the screen settings correct reminded me of x11 monitor line settings, and getting the correct gzdoom settings was tricky as windows hid the .txt file extension, doh! But the Rocknix wiki is great, and well worth your time. Aim-assist also necessary for thumbsticks, but does feel total cheat mode, so turn it down
