Setting up my Geminini Capsule to Allow Editing from my Phone

It seems to be a tradition in the small web universe to create an inaugural post about your (b/gem)log setup. I will keep this tradition alive with this post.

Hosting

I'm hosting this capsule on a Raspberry Pi in my office. The Pi is running Alpine Linux. I'm currently using Agate for my Gemini server. I may try something with CGI support in the future.

Editing

I have attempted to keep a capsule in the past, but find the added friction of needing to sit down at the computer in order to write a post too cumbersome. So I set out to figure out a way to edit my capsule from my phone (iPhone 13 Mini).

The first thing I did was install a samba server on my Raspberry Pi. Next I installed Runestone on my phone. This app is free and open source. It allows me to mount my samba drive automatically and edit arbitrary files.
