I've been hard at work getting up to speed with the field of Computational Biology and everything that comes with that for the past several months. It was a slow start, but the dust has mostly been cleared out around my old knowledge of Biochem, Physics, etc. Just wrapped up writing my PhD research project proposal and have started applying to PhD programs in US and EU. Most of the hard work has been done, now I just need to do the harder part...waiting.
