Mug Life: How each state of mind deserves it's own mug
My morning routine consists of getting out of bed and having a tea.
All urgent matters must wait until I've had my first cup, it's a ritual helping me to clear my mind for the day ahead, a quick mind reboot let's say.
Tea belongs in a mug and choosing which mug to use for the day is a fun, yet important part of that morning ritual.
To each mug I associate different characteristics and selecting which mug to use hence depends on the type of tasks that are planned for the day.
Star Trek TNG: Picard
You have a day when you need to make hard decisions? You take the Picard mug.
Jurassic Park
Feeling dangerous? Have something to get finished in hurry and you can't look back? Whip out that JP mug.
Mini
It's funny that the mini one is the biggest mug, for the times that you can't be torn away from your keyboard.
Porsche
Sometimes you just want something nice and shiny to look at. Dreaming about what you want to achieve in the future.
IBM
When you need to get down to business, cracked unfortunately so now serving as an accessory pen holder next to the old thinkpad.
London Olympics 2012
Feeling sporty, might go for a run or bycicle ride today.
Mugs that I feel would complement the collection:
- A mug with ALF on it (Alien Life Form - TV Series 1986)
- The 1992 Star Trek TNG: Worf mug, in the same series as the Picard one I have already.
