Re-Alone?

I remember that I didn’t like the people on Earth: they were noisy, irritating, and I didn’t share most of their habits. They made me feel out of place, out of place for being who I am. Yet, from time to time, the presence of people different from me made me feel alive, because, in the end, we all need company, even if only in small doses. In the end, I knew I could always return to being alone with myself. Perhaps that’s why I feel at ease traveling in my spaceship… if I returned to Earth, things might be different, or maybe it’s just nostalgia for something that never was.
