Maybe if artistic symbols like emojis are available, are non-standard characters like 𝄞 (Treble cleff symbol) also allowed?

And I'm curious if in that case, maybe eventually users can simply enter a unicode number like "1D11E"

When it comes to custom/rare characters, I'm not going to allow those at least for the time being. I'd like the user avatars to be a curated set of well-recognizable symbols, mostly Emoji.

I want to change my pfp to a hedgehog/porcupine. 🦔

Bone and Hedgehog are now available. I decided to go with Dagger instead of Knife because the latter could conceivably be related to UI actions.

Surely scissors would be the choice for a ui option, eg cut. Getting a dagger when looking for a knife is like getting full cream cow milk when ordering oat milk. A similar product but not at all what is desired. ;-)

Would it be if at all possible to add 💽, the minidisc emoji?

@fluffpumpkin Yes it would, although technically it is a Minidisc emoji. It's available now in Settings.
