Yeah, as mozz said, it really is a flowchart editor before anything else. I like it still, you can do pretty slick things with it, but what annoys me for instance is that by default it doesn't work with loads of Unicodecharacters (something about the default font), and it would be amazing to have a wider selection of default patterns and templates / snippets to use.

Maybe not strictly art, but nevertheless an interesting approach to text-only graphics for people using a Mac (like me): the new app called monodraw lets you create graphics made of text.
